Stumbled upon this store on my hunt for a backup guitar. They have a great stock of gear on hand (best to check out their website as only a faction is displayed in store). Their staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to try out a couple guitars in my own practice room before making my purchase. Definitely would recommend this place over guitar center any day

I held off going to the store because based on the photos it looked like they only had a small selection of musical instruments. When I finally went to check them out I was surprised to learn that they have pretty much their entire website inventory in stock; it's just not out front. I wanted to try out a PRS electric guitar and the staff member, Brian, found a sound-insulated practice room for me, offered a few choices of amps, showed me how they work, and gave me plenty of time to try out the PRS and other guitars. He was genuinely interested in making sure I had a good experience and was very patient with my questions. Additionally, their pricing is very competitive, and their selection of PRS guitars is much better than Guitar Center. In short, I highly recommend you check them out as an alternative to the big-box and online options.

Mike was super polite when answering my call regarding a Taylor with a few dead frets. He told me to bring it in, he tweaked the truss rod and the high E was singing like an angel. I don't normally do this but I just HAD to talk about my recent (amazing) experience with Irvine Art and Music. I was looking to purchase one of the new Fender Vintera II Jaguar guitars in vintage white. They didn't have one in stock but Joseph (the gentleman at the counter), said that depending on availability, he could get one in right away. He was very helpful and attentive in finding out the current availability from Fender. He got in contact with the rep the next day, we agreed on a great price and I committed to the order. The guitar arrived in FACTORY FRESH condition in only a few days. Upon picking up the guitar, I was blown away by the enthusiasm of the entire team over the arrival of my guitar. All the employees instantly began congratulating me on my new guitar. It was an amazing experience. The guitar was in perfect condition and played amazing right out of the box. The color is a beautiful rich creamy white with the slightest hint of a yellow. It's fairly light in weight but still feels substantial and balanced. The short 24" scale is perfect for my medium sized hands. The neck is very comfortable and fast. The tremolo system is fabulous! Perfect for all the surf and alternative rock stuff that I love. The thing I love the most (aside from the sexy looks) is how versatile the instrument is ! You can basically dial in any tone you want from jazz, to punk,to grunge and anything in between! The instrument has already become an integral part of my music. A big thank you to the entire IAM family! You guys really hit it out of the park!

I've been playing guitar in bands for over 50 years, and have had mixed results when buying a guitar online. So I was a bit concerned when I ordered a pretty expensive guitar from them, a Yamaha Revstar Professional. But I spoke with Mike, the guitar tech, on the phone and he allayed all my concerns. He checked it out thoroughly, and I mean thoroughly...frets level, neck, workmanship, etc and sent me photos. Only when I approved did he ship it. And the guitar is awesome! Not a single flaw, excellent fretwork and workmanship in every single aspect. That level of detail is very unusual. Next guitar I buy I won't hesitate to call them again. Thanks Mike!

We have been coming here for years for repair of the old hand-me-down violins that my kids used to play. Always pleasant experience with the repair and services provided here. Recently my son wanted to switch to electric guitar and we came by to inquire on their rental program. Joseph and Mike were super helpful to have explained thoroughly on pros & cons of rental vs. purchase, and we decided to go for the Yamaha Gigmaker which was a very nice starter set that came with everything you need as a beginner with reasonable price. Irene and Kaelyn in the front were so friendly and helped us schedule an experience guitar lesson with Mr. Adam- my son fell in love in first lesson and started his guitar journey right away! All the staff are very kind, reachable and helpful, scheduling and rescheduling is easy with phone calls, and teacher’s great! We have the best experience here and highly recommend it!

Super great folks here! I was in town for a vacation, but wasn't able to bring my cello with me. And, it's audition preparation season so I wanted to not loose my muscle memory. I dropped into this shop and asked if I could borrow a cello for a half hour or so and they were more than willing and super helpful! Both Ted and Mike helped get me a cello, a bow, rosin, and even a taller chair. They even allowed me to use a separate little room as a practice room for however long I needed. Overall a wonderful experience at this shop, I would definitely drop by again if I end up back in Irvine.

I made a special trip up from San Diego just to go to this shop, and it was well worth it! I am an intermediate acoustic guitar player and wanted to upgrade from my beginner Yamaha to a more quality instrument. Their team was super helpful and honored an online deal they had going… they have sweet little soundproof booths to “jam” and make sure you are happy with your purchase. Highly recommend this place, and though I think the guitar I bought should last my lifetime, I know I will come back here if I “need” :) another guitar.

Drove from Burbank to check out their wide selection of Yamaha Guitars. I was looking for a durable and inexpensive black guitar to play live with. The staff was excellent, and let me play a couple of the guitars I was interested in. I was surprised that I fell in love with a Yamaha LL6 in black. Bought it on the spot. Great customer service. I recommend if you are looking for rare Yamaha guitars, like a LL26, 36, you'll have a high chance of finding it here, compared to say, Guitar Center. Give this place a look!

I bought this beauty of a guitar at Irvine Art & Music Center. Let me just say, this was one of the most pleasurable buying experiences I’ve ever had. They had this guitar on sale and when I called to check if they have it in stock, they actually answered the phone and checked right away. I ordered it online but I actually wanted another model. They were able to exchange it easily with no issue. I drive an hour and a half to pick it up and saw that there is a ton of friendly staff, clean facility, and plenty of inventory. I think I found my new place for buying guitars.

My friend and I made the trek from Santa Clarita in search of the perfect ukulele, and we were so glad we did! They had every model we were hoping to try out for comparison, along with rooms and sound booths so we could try them out and really focus on the sound. We were in musical heaven. Big shout out to Mike! – not only did he keep feeding us instruments, but also helped me troubleshoot a pesky string noise I couldn't figure out during a recording session. They had a guitar I wanted(Ibanez ICHI10), and I wanted to purchase it in California( instead of NY). I found them online and talked to Joseph. He helped me with the purchase and shipping. The guitar arrived in perfect condition, ready to play with just a minor tuning adjustment. IBANEZ ICHI10. This is a lightweight monster strat-headless guitar, it's so easy to play with a Sonic Pallette that goes beyond most stratocasters.

I ordered a very expensive difficult to find piece of equipment from this store. They were extremely responsive, helpful, and diligent. Vincent in particular went above and beyond in his responsiveness, professionalism and was just extremely helpful. Sometimes ordering expensive items can be stressful for everyone involved but they really went above and beyond in their customer service and I would purchase again from Irvine Art & Music Center in a heartbeat. Bought this beaaaautiful guitar from Irvine Art and Music! I was concerned about shipping since they’re in California and I’m in Virginia. They assured me they have no issues just sending them in their box but I went ahead and bought a HSC and had it shipped…. SO GLAD I DID! It arrived pretty quick and in IMMACULATE condition! Any questions I had were answered quickly as well despite the time difference, everyone was extremely polite and helpful! They were super accommodating and set the guitar up for my preferred gauge strings as well! I absolutely will order from them in the future if I can!!! Thank you again!!!

Everyone at this location are extremely pleasant and helpful. They held a guitar for me to pick up from the shop, instead of shipping, at my request. It should be noted that I live in AZ, and was more than willing to drive the distance to do so. I was greeted happily and they even went through the effort to unbox the guitar so I could inspect it before they REPACKED it for transport. Great service and their selection of guitars is unusually good. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in a instrument retailer that had top of the line guitars. Not even Guitar Center keeps a premium stock like that at their stores anymore. Would drive the distance again to work with them.
